News: Senior Ice Dance has been added to Lombardia Trophy this year, per the announcement.

And per an IN article today that quotes Lanotte:

Their first competition will likely be the Lombardia Trophy, Sept. 17-20 in Italy.
"Our federation just added an ice dance competition to this B-level event," Lanotte said. "I hope a few other good couples are coming; otherwise, we will go elsewhere.

I don't see anything at the ISU site... the closing date for entries was a couple of weeks ago... and the compeititon itself is less than 3 weeks away...!

Lombardia is not a Challenger event this year -- as I had been careful to state in the OP.

This subforum -- "Other 2015-16 International FS events" -- is the correct place for non-Challenger internationals, AFAIK.

I was wondering why the entries looked rather underwhelming (with a few exceptions, of course!). But if it's not part of the Challenger series, then it makes sense.

For those that are interested, the Advanced Novice Girls SP is due to start about now.

HOWEVER, when you go to the livestream page, all you get is a test card on a minute-long loop.

So, I don't know what's going on!

EDIT (09:07 BST): Now it's showing an idealweb.tv thumbnail and a buffering circle, so they might be working at getting the stream on-air.

EDIT (09:10 BST): Just refreshed the page, and it's back to the test card loop. :disapp:

So true!

To be honest, I'm not that bothered about seeing the younger skaters. I just came today to get an idea of what the stream is like before the senior skaters start at the weekend.

I really hope they get it sorted by then, because there are a few that I REALLY want to see...! (Not least Maria Stavitskaya's debut as an Ice Dancer...!)
