Did not watch all of them, basically just Med, Wakaba, and Tuk with glimpses of others. Wakaba was mostly just excecuting her program, no performance to speak of. Hope it will get better later in the season coz despite the warhorse of all warhorses, the choreo showed some promise. Tuk's forte are her jumps, some of them quite spectacular, but she has very little else to offer.
Tango is really meant for two and I have always really disliked single skater tangos. It is hard to get the vibe and the movement going when you are on your own. Med's tango contains fairly little tango so far, the sharpness and finish is not there - i hope I can add "yet" there. Her new adult face is grim and it fits this program for the most part, but am not convinced. Satoko last week made me like her tango, Med left me lukewarm or even cold. I have liked her in the past despite the too-packed programs which have not let air and finishing movement into the performance. The storytelling has suited her, but am curious to see will she really be able to get on top of either of the Wilson choreos.
