Jenni Saarinen was my favourite.

I just think on the second mark she is a bit better than the others in terms of speed, projection, skating skills. Reminds me a bit of Kaetlyn Osmond. Jumps are big, almost too big sometimes, Jenni's 3ltz is bigger than Anna Shcherbakova's 4ltz. lol

They need some work on the landings, but overall what a nice package.
Jenni is impressive. Her basic skating is smooth, and she gains speed effortlessly. Her jump landings do need to be polished. Additionally, I thought her FS was a miss. She was using the music Chock/ Bates used last year, but she isn't a snake dancing kind of girl in my opinion. I think she would actually look better on the ice with a more traditional classical program.

Varvara Kisel has seemingly switched countries to Belarus: https://www.facebook.com/FigureSkatingInBelarus/posts/2310192549127547

This would be her first eligible year for juniors. She was being coached by Urmanov but Oleg Vasiliev was with her in the kiss and cry. https://allskaters.info/varvara_kisel/

Here she is doing a 4T: https://www.instagram.com/p/CGF1XQ5JEKh/

She's currently being trained by Buyanova but who knows if that's just because of the virus: https://www.sports.ru/figure-skatin...l-ispolnila-na-treniro.html?from=main-news-fs

Whats going on with Loena Hendrickx? I hoped she would compete at the GP in France
Last I checked Loena is going to compete at Budapest Trophy next week. She hasn´t competed since WC 2019, she was out the whole last season so that´s probably why she hasn´t earned any spot.

Former Russian skater Viktoriia Safonova assigned to rostelecom Grand Prix.😄 How has she been doing??
i'm happy for this news! now i'm looking forward to see her!
All former russians are still russian and train in russia...so no need to talk about it in European thread :)
all former russians, as you call them, may still have their russian citizenshinp but they represent european countries so here is where you should talk about them.

Viktoriya Safonova has no real competitors in Belarus.

IIRC, she won the 2nd stage of BLR Cup with a fall in her free skating run.

No doubt, she will welcome the chance to compete for Belarus in Rostelekom Cup.

Didn't Varvara Kisel' train with Urmanov in Sochi?

Also, how is the training situation for Anastasiya Shabotova, who competes for Ukraine (with little success) but trains in Moscow, either at Snow Leopards or at CSKA?

She's scheduled to compete at CS Budapest Trophy shortly.

Since she missed all of last season I imagine she wasn't in the running for IdF.

I watched it live and Loena was so emotional after her performance. I think that was her brother embracing her while she waited for her scores to come up. I think that was the best short program performance from a female I’ve seen in the past year from someone not representing JPN, RUS, KOR and USA.

I was so happy for Loena. So was her brother who was dancing and jumping behind the boards while she made her bows on the ice. And a KnC moment to die for, even with Joriks mask (but that of course was necessary) but his eyes were clear enough. Loena herself was so emotional, just like RatedPG noted. I was too. Some experiences just make one cry, and this was one of those.
