I wish he would not attempt a quad in the short. He scored quite good at US classic. He should do 3T3T, 3lutz and 3A. His Lutz gets a good GOE.
he's an athlete... and he has landed the quads before... so i cannot see him downgrading if he believes he can do them.. it just shows how dangerous the sport is.... and sometimes we forget with the "normality" of quads nowadays.... Very few skaters with somewhat regular quads would decide not to include them. I wish more skaters had a "clean skate" mentality first... but then, the scoring system is built to reward the bigger tricks... One of the most beautiful short programs in the last 8 years or so at worlds was Patrick's Black Bird... and he was outscored (not only on TES but also on PCS) because he only had one quad... When a skater gets an "non-written in the rules PCS bonus for a second quad in the short" it's hard to persuade them to drop the quads.
Anyways... it doesn't look good with recurring injuries for him.

so is Kevin in or out?
Working results page:

Kevin is still on the list here: http://hunskate.hu/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Seat-Budapest-Trophy-List-of-Entries_1011.pdf
:scratch2:
Very odd, because it doesnĀ“t sound like he would be ready for a competition this week. Some skaters donĀ“t appear as WD before the start order is out, or even worse, right before the competition starts.

It could be just that he is keeping his options open... it's not like they need to sub someone else for him anyways... so it's no big deal... the thought I have though, if he is competing, will he be fit to do so and perform well? that''s another question.

No I donĀ“t think he would, but if I remember correctly he skated at competition last season short after a injury, and I think the majority felt that he shouldĀ“nt have been there and that he might re-injure himself on horrible falls. This is what iĀ“m afraid of, it has happened before so I wouldnĀ“t be surprise either if he turned up half recovered and risking himself.

The article in Le DauphinĆ© says KĆ©vin will have more tests on Thursday and ā€œwill knowā€ more then. The article doesnā€˜t mention this comp at all, but talks about his readiness for GP France.

The tone of the article, as I read it, is that they are glad it is only a sprain.

If he is having tests in France on Thursday, I canā€™t imagine him rushing to Budapest right after:scratch2:

Little bit worried about Max Naumov's program information not being listed. Music and such.

He is still listed though.
