FInally! We have skaters on the ice. I was starting to think that the stream was on a loop.

But, oh boys, it is choppy now. Buffering every few seconds. And now permanently buffering.

I was planning on watching this today and switching to either Four Nationals or Spanish Championships tomorrow. But, if it is going to be acting up like this, I'll just not bother watching any skating today.

Thankfully it settled down just before Lorine Schild started skating. And (touch wood) has been behaving since.

Not a bad skate to kick off the event. And a really appropriate song to begin with: an epic cover of "Everybody Wants To Rule The World".

The stands opposite the camera are empty. But, when the camera was following the skaters around, you could see the stand to our left is absolutely packed. So, I expect that the stand behind the camera is packed too.

And there is lots of noise of people talking in between skates.

Looks like it is a well attended event.

I have to admit, I had never heard tell of Cergy. But, I just looked it up, and it is a suburb of Paris. So, that would explain everything if the attendence is as big as it appears to be.

Judging by the noise there seem to be a lot of children in the audience.

Nice skate by Lea Serna. Her Kill Bill dress seems to be inspired by Yulia's. Tbh I prefer the latter.

The cameraman seems to be new in the job.

Am I imagining things, or did there use to be more skaters from Monaco doing the French Championships?

His FS is a much better program than his SP. He just needs to execute it well.

I wonder if Schild will be given a chance to earn Euros or Worlds Minimums. So far only Mazzara and Serna (and Meite if she's around) have the World minimums, and Froetscher has Euros mins. I was wondering about Ghozali then I realized she is only 14.


Luc, Landry, and Tesson have World and Euros mins, just in case anyone wondered.
