Samodelkina won both the SP and FS and Overall in Girls 1st Rank category.

Excellent to get this insight in figure skating in Russia's regions. The sport is popular with girls all over the nation.
And the local seamstresses have good customers in the skating girls and boys, for many are wearing splendid custom made costumes.

Ivanyutenko's golden gladiator costume is particularly striking.

PS: yesterday there was this little sweeper girl that hugged every contestant in the K&C, even the skaters that were crying, which was lovely. Haven't seen her today.

Lively competition, nice 'old school' Russian rock and pop music playing in the arena during the intermissions.

And the hugging sweeper girls are back in action ;-)
