Does anyone else think the Canadian Nationals seems to close to the Olympics?

It does (to me), but it is similar to the timing of the 2010 and 2014 events and it held about a week earlier than in non-Olympic years.

That would be the Olympic debut for all of them except for Queen Aljona who will do her 100th OG. Seriously speaking, Pyeongchang will be her 4th Olympic participation. I think only her, Kostner and Zhang from Turin 2006 are still active.

I'm not sure this counts, as Tessa and Scott didn't make the 2006 team (they finished 3rd at Canadians, with only 2 spots), but they were active.

Aiza Mambekova officially selected : http://www.skating.kz/rus/novosti/?cid=0&rid=660

Substitutes are named too : Abzal Rakimgaliev and Zhansaya Adykhanova (if she achieves minimum TES at FBMA Trophy)

Adykhanova didn't get the minimum in the SP at FBMA Trophy.
Both Kazakh girls skated and both have lots of problems with jumps.
Mambekova 38.72 (3S<< and all -3; 3T<<+COMBO+2T* and all -3; 2A and all -2)
Adykhanova 32.91 (3S<<+1T* and all -3; 2Lo<* Invalid element; 2A<< and all -3)

Has anyone heard anything about Boyang Jin and his selection for the Olympics? Or is he still injured?
