Samarin is just there as an alternate.

Thanks, SnowWhite! :thank: Seeing Samarin standing in the center made me confused and suspicious he might have been selected, and either of Mika or Dima is an alternate... Very glad to know Dima IS participating the Games. :)

Ouch. Some pics are, let's say, not very flattering. But it is the same at every edition of the Games, blame the format.

Not figure skating, but you should see Tina Weirather's pic:

https://www.pyeongchang2018.com/en/...g/athlete-profile-n3041261-tina-weirather.htm

EDIT: It's the same photo that was used on her Sochi profile.

Tina is just gorgeousness personified. But, this picture looks absolutely nothing like her!

THIS is what she should look like:

I dread to think what the picture of Gaby Soukalová (another example of gorgeousness personified) would have turned out like if she was going to Pyeongchang...

EDIT: Actually, the photo on her Sochi profile wasn't too bad.

Can anyone tell me how many groups there are likely to be in the pairs event? And when the starting orders might be posted? I have a meeting that night and I want to plan how quickly to skip out of it .... :)

Apologies if this is the wrong thread to ask in. If you have a better place to point me to, I'll take direction.

I think they will do 6 groups(3,3,4,4,4,4). You can go to the ISU world rankings for start order

Actually the schedule shows draw for Pairs short on Monday, Feb 12 at 3:30 pm. It says "DR PS" which should mean "Draw Pairs Short", no?

:thank: So if Ziotic's groupings are correct ... and thanks for directing me to the world standings ... I can breathe, plan to be at my meeting then if I'm home by 9:30 I should be able to watch the Knierims, and then on up.

And :thank: to pearly, I should be able to confirm this on Monday! :)
